BERN
Before
2000 Bern was almost well knowed as a
dj performing techno/funk/house set in
many clubs and parties in the north of
france and in belgium.
At that time with
k-rym they released their first 12" on
there own label "tenac-c".
Since the birth of his son bern widened
his
musical approches and feelings of electronic
song-scapes. By weekly playing in the "studio

jonas bering he gets some "raw
influences"that
he injected through his new musical projects
with success : in 2003 his track "loann" feature
on BBC1 R.Hawtin dj set track listing!
Now
bern explores new rythms & sounds
on many labels and postair the one he
has created with jonas bering and tez.

lu&nl
lu&nl
is the soft name of a creative young person
who cultivates several universes and play-grounds.
Double sided atmospheres which reflect each
others, strike each others, complete one
another. Softness and libidinous. Furthermore,
lu&nl created virtual environments and
supports the use of free collaborative
tools and the recognition of the person in
the multi-media heart of projects. It is
an invested, light and impassioned personality.
A slip of woman who builds herself with musics
from the morning...

SARAH GOLDFARB
The female pseudonym of Sarah Goldfarb hides a male artist that lives in Marseille (one of the biggest and hottest city, in the south of France), and who is definitively part of these new electronic emergent signatures.
Since 1994 Jean-Vince (his real name) has organized a lot of parties with local techno collectives on a register inspired from north american pioneers such as Richie Hawtin (and his experimental label M_nus) Jeffs Mills, Carl Craig and their direct heirs : Baby Ford, Ricardo Villalobos, Robag Wruhme, Luciano or Someone Else.
The refined structures and the contained tempo of this minimal scene was just fascinating this DJ, even before representative and now famous labels such as Kompakt or Traum/Trapez became widely known and played in all (good) european dance-floors.
In 2001, Jean Vince, now recognized as one of the best local Djs, bought his first machines. If his DJ sets oscillates between minimal house and techno, his productions are a subtle mix between micro house and hypnotic techno.
For his production Jean Vince chose the pseudonym of Sarah Goldfarb, its the name of the amphetamined grandmother in Darren Aranofskys Requiem For A Dream. Why ? This film was an aesthetic shock to this cinema lover (he completed studies in this field before investing himself completely into electronic music).
This female pseudonym brought him good luck. In 2003, becoming more and more famous, his productions were pressed by Colognes well known label Trapez. It was just the beginning : Sarah Goldfarb started working on regular basis with many other pretty well known labels all over Europe, such as Handeld or Treibstoff. And its with the latter, and especially with its owner Marcel Janovsky that a strong and friendly complicity was born : Sarah Goldfarb could release most of his productions on this german label.
However, being freedom lover, in 2005 Jean Vince also helped create a new net label in his city, indigomagenta, releasing free tracks and taking inspiration from creative common licences philosophy.(www.indigomagenta.com) The label Roman, Photo was created a few months later with some of his friends, following his meeting with american great and emergent artist Someone Else who gave him the first (and smashing) Roman, Photo release a very, very good and promising start. In 2006, Sarah Goldfarb released the atonishing Superbooper on his friends label Virgo Music, along with a remix of [T]ékel

Originally a Pittsburgh DJ, Kate held down residencies at Laga, Zythos, and was co-founder of Savitri Sundays. She received a degree in Anthropology (and a minor in Music) at University of Pittsburgh--where she also participated in a gamelan ensemble.
Her interests in sound began at a young age--first playing violin, then piano, then guitar, now sample-based electronics (often incorporating her own singing voice among other found sounds). Her regular bookings playing deep, minimal house and techno encouraged her move to Philadelphia in summer 2001. After relocating, she has taken responsibilities as co-organizer of both the Pitchspork monthly (hosting names like Magda, Matthew Dear, Sammy Dee, Geoff White, Jeff Milligan and others) and the Foundsound record label.
